I started A1 in Aug 20 / A2 in Nov 20 and B1 in Feb 21 – my only regret is that the Dutch Academy doesn’t continue on with B2… I speak 6 languages and work as an interpreter but would never have believed that it is possible to get to such a level in a new language in just 10 months! The teachers Philippe and Maurice put in a lot of effort and the study materials of Dutch Academy are excellent. I can only recommend signing up for these courses – it will give you a great basic knowledge of Dutch!
I totally recommend this Dutch course. It was very well spent money and a great start to know the Dutch language. Dutch classes were enjoyable and you learn a good basis in grammar to start increasing your Dutch vocabulary.

I found an information about Dutch Academy of Eindhoven by Google search and I am very satisfied with my choice! I was thinking that Dutch is a very difficult language and I will not be able to learn it, but thanks to the excellent explanation of my teachers, for me learning of Dutch became fun and easy. Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
Dutch level A2 (Elementary Dutch)
Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Dutch level B1 (Intermediate Dutch)
Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Dutch Academy Eindhoven offers intensive Dutch language courses to highly educated foreigners who are non-native speakers. This intensive Dutch course is intended for absolute beginners. During the course, you will learn to communicate in Dutch in everyday situations. Throughout the course priority is given to understanding and producing basic spoken Dutch for survival. In this intensive Dutch course, students deal with the entire elementary grammar of Dutch and build up a vocabulary of about 1.000 words within 11 weeks. The course concludes with a final online test. When you complete your Dutch course, you will receive a certificate of Dutch Academy Eindhoven.

The course activities are founded upon various tasks. These tasks are functional, and are directly linked to a concrete situation, such as ‘having conversations with people on the street’ or ‘a basic job interview’.
